Dipendra Rawat is a master storyteller and certified Drama-in-Education (D.I.E.) trainer with over 25 years of experience in pioneering theatre-based learning. His work focuses on Curriculum Drama, a methodology that integrates drama techniques into academic subjects to foster creativity, empathy, and confidence within traditional educational frameworks.
Educational Impact & Collaborations
Dipendra has designed and led interactive workshops and productions across a prestigious network of institutions:
- Schools: Modern School, Shri Ram School, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi Public School, Ryan School, and Salwan Public School.
- Colleges & Universities: Jesus & Mary College, Lady Irwin College, Satyawati College, and the University of Delhi (CIE).
- Government & Policy: He has collaborated with NCERT to develop drama modules for History and Science, worked with the Delhi Board of School Education, and contributed to the British Council's "Drama in Classroom" project.
Professional & Academic Leadership
A faculty member at the National School of Drama (NSD), Dipendra teaches D.I.E. and Process Drama to the next generation of practitioners. He also serves on the advisory board for the Film & Drama Department at Amity University and has shaped the ITEP program curriculum in alignment with NCTE frameworks.

His expertise extends to experiential corporate training for leaders at IIMs (Lucknow, Jammu, Sirmaur) and MDI Gurgaon, as well as social advocacy with organizations like Salam Balak Trust and Jagori.
